Environmental issues and conservation of nature
Environmental degradation is the deterioration of the environment through depletion of resources such as quality of air, water and soil; the destruction of ecosystems; habitat destruction; the extinction of wildlife; and pollution. It is defined as any change or disturbance to the environment perceived to be deleterious or undesirable. Environmental concerns can be defined as the negative effects of any human activity on the environment. The biological as well as the physical features of the environment are included. Some of the primary environmental challenges that are causing great worry are air pollution, water pollution, natural environment pollution, rubbish pollution, and so on. Environmental issues are addressed at a regional, national or international level by government organizations.
On World Nature Conservation Day, DPS Kanpur urges all to cut down on the use of plastics, plant more trees, conserve water, save electricity, challenge e-waste and work towards creating a more sustainable model of development. The Strategy Development for Wildlife Conservation best practice provides guidance for developing a strategy for any type of conservation project. This practice is based on and builds upon the open standards for the practice of conservation also called the conservation standards. This best practice begins with a set of overarching principles to guide the project team when developing their strategy and then describes each step of the strategy development process.
