E-BUS:
Kanpur City Transport Service Ltd. is a city based service under JNURM scheme of Government of India which operates primarily in Kanpur city. It covers the entire city and is used extensively by daily commuters. Kanpur City Transport Service Ltd. has A/c, Non A/c, low Floor Marcopolo buses, Tata Buses and Mazda. The fleet is environment friendly, easy, comfortable & provide safe transportation facility to daily office-goers, students, senior citizens and women. For the public services, it is being operated under J.N.N.U.R.M scheme. Between October 2009 to 2010, 270 city buses were operated by the government and under the Company ACT 1956, K.C.T.S.L. was established on 28.04.2010. Now KCTSL has inducted around 100 High end AC Electric Buses to its fleet. E-buses are now most preferred buses in Kanpur city. Administration has plans to increase the E-Bus fleet in the coming years.
