Skill development
Skill development means a process which enables trainees and the working age people to gain access to dexterity, knowledge and ability, career ethics and good working attitude by skill training, establishing skill standards, and other relating activities. When you want to achieve your goals, your skills become your tools. If you have the right tools accomplishing goals becomes easy. Without the right skills you’ll not be able to work towards your goal, it will increase frustration, and lower your efficiency. That’s the reason why skill development and training is important. Channelize your energy to understand what the skills you have and which ones need to be developed and polished.
The direct outcome of the workshop will be skill enhancement of the ITIs which would further increase the employability of students at ITIs as well as enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration between ITIs and IIT Kanpur, an amalgamation of research and technical skills which would improve the innovation outcomes for all the stakeholders involved. Prof. Abhay Karandikar said, “Education and Training are strengths of educational institutes like IIT and we would feel honored to assist in capability building of ITIs and envisioned to scale the process in the future.”
